He was a very bright student.He has done his MBBS from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He scored Distinction in 6 subjects and was also awarded the Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship for Academic excellence. Then he did his MS in Orthopaedics from Seth G S M C and KEM Hospital, Mumbai which is also known as “Mecca” of orthopaedics in India. After that, he completed his DNB in Orthopaedics from NBE, New Delhi. He subsequently underwent super speciality training in Knee Surgery at Nara Medical University, Japan (Clinical Fellowship in Knee Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty). He is currently a member of the West Bengal Orthopaedic Association and also a member of SICOT. He has gained much popularity as a joint replacement surgeon in Kolkata. He communicates with his patients in English, Hindi and Bengali.
